Indigenous Community Senator (1 Seat)

João Ribeiro

I wish to continue my advocacy work on the Senate on behalf of the Indigenous Community as a descendent of the Brazilian Kaimbé tribe. With my experience, I am the best suited candidate to represent our community. Onward!

Alexander Stone

I'm a mix of Cree, Inuit, and Yellowknife! I'm from everywhere and have been everywhere! Growing up, my parents made sure I will always remember our humble beginnings as farmers in Alberta, Canada. I've grown to appreciate the flora around me, and I've picked up gardening and botanical photography as a hobby. I have also volunteered at the Johnson Space Center, interned at a law firm, and am now a pharmacy technician. I want to thank my family, friends, and teachers for all the wonderful opportunities they gave me. Now, I look forward to my future at and beyond Tufts. My goal is to not just connect Indigenous students with their diverse backgrounds but with their future, professional life, and the Tufts community as well. With such a diverse experience, I will also be a strong advocate for the Tufts community as a whole in the TCU.
