Class of 2027 Senator (7 Seats)

Over the past two years in TCU Senate, I have worked to make student government more responsive, more transparent, and actually shaped by student feedback.

I currently serve as Parliamentarian and sit on Treasury and the Allocations Board, helping oversee funding for nearly 400 student organizations. Through this, I have worked directly with hundreds of students, not just reviewing budgets, but helping them navigate a system that can feel confusing or inaccessible, and deciding through each request as a fellow student, not just a senator.

Beyond my roles, I have tried to make Senate more transparent, more accessible, and more effective.

Some of the work I’ve been doing:

• Helping students draft and pass resolutions that actually have a path to implementation, not just symbolic wins

• Meeting with administration and student groups to make sure ideas are feasible before they go to a vote

• Working on a student-led protest education initiative so students can advocate effectively while understanding university policies, and have a fellow helping hand in addition to faculty support

• Running outreach efforts to connect with smaller clubs and explain how to use Senate as a resource

• Creating content to clarify funding processes and show students who to reach out to for support

• Exploring the process of granting transfer students granted housing for their first year though faculty meetings and initiatives

To me, student government is not just about passing ideas. It is about making sure they actually happen.

If re-elected, I want to finish what I started. My focus is continued execution:

• Implementing recently passed and ongoing resolutions, including civic engagement in syllabi and performance credit for student groups

• Continuing work toward a dedicated Senate seat for religious, spiritual, and philosophical communities who feel underrepresented in the Senate

• Building a faculty advising network for pre-professional organizations

• Finalizing the protest education initiative so students feel confident using their voice on campus

• Expanding transparency through outreach, office hours, and clear communication

I am running again because I care about follow-through. A lot of what I’ve started are long-term projects, and I want to see them fully realized for the student body.

If you want someone who will not only advocate, but stay in the work until it is done, I would be honored to continue representing you as a 2027 class senator.

I am running for TCU Senate in hopes of continuing my efforts in the TCU Treasury to help maintain and support clubs and their budgets. As Treasurer I’ve learned a lot and I’m hoping to be on Senate to implement more changes in how clubs work on campus. Something’s I have in mind are accumulating a list of DJ’s, photographers, and videographers to have any easy list for clubs to reach out to if they ever need these kinds of services. Outside of clubs I’m also hoping to create new initiatives like creating an outdoor workout area for students and better publicizing the work that senate does for the student body.

My two years as a TCU Senator have been defined by both productivity and success in the projects I’ve worked on. I’m not simply running again to be a Senator, but also to be a community member for the jumbos my position represents. With my time on Senate, it has been filled with being a member of the TCU Treasury, which is what I aim to continue to do working into this third year. I aim to foster communication between the Treasury, the Allocations Board [ALBO], and the Tufts community. More specifically, I want to revise the manner in which ALBO decisions are delivered and utilize more of the Treasury website. The revamping of the website involves publicly disclosing all the Allocations Board’s decisions, the monetary amounts, and the reasons for each decision. As many students have felt frustrated by the methods by which decisions were communicated and upheld, it is critical that TCU publicly updates these decisions to foster communication across Tufts and ensure transparency and equitable funding for Tufts’ diverse population of student groups. Further work in the Treasury will involve continuing the transformation from paper to electronic forms, revolutionizing the reimbursement process for student leaders. Additionally, reworking the Treasury’s relationship with the Office of the President to further expand student groups’ pathways into receiving funding, whether through the student activity fee or the president’s office, to ensure transparent and effective funding. Outside the Treasury, I want to continue expanding pre-professional pathways by continuing the project that was started of pairing faculty mentors with pre-professional student groups.

Following three years of continuous service as a member of the TCU Senate's Class of 2027 group, I look forward to the opportunity to be chosen one last time as myself and those I represent move into senior year. In my time, we have revived TCU communications and social presence in an unprecedented way, and we hope to continue building the visible connection between TCU and the wider student body.

I’ve truly enjoyed representing the Class of 2027 for the past year, and look forward to continuing to do so through advocacy and connection across campus.

As a senior class senator, I look forward to continuing my work from my previous 2 years on TCU Senate. Specifically, I would like to further efforts to center and advocate for marginalized students on campus. This year, I led the TCU Student Leadership Stipend program and formed a committee to review 84 applications for 500 dollar stipends, totaling 10,000. I want to move funding from the TCU Senate Executive Fund to bring menstrual products to the campus center for all students, revamp the Empower Hour program for underrepresented students in the gym, and more.

From introducing ice cream toppings to the dining halls, to institutionalizing a second semester club fair, to securing deep cleans of gross gym weights, my goal as a class rep has always been to proactively advocate for the student body. I'll continue giving my all in order to make campus happier, and I'd love to better understand your wants, so please reach out!!
