Hello! My name is Kirthi Vengat and I’m re-running to be your disability community senator! My goals for this year are to be an advocate for making our campus more safe, welcoming, and supportive. This year, as the disability community senator and assistant Diversity Officer, I used my position to collaborate with the Staar Center on projects related to the Tisch Sensory room and staff Advisory board. We have also organized an upcoming tabling event to provide students with resources for final exam support and accommodations, among other resources. If elected, I hope to continue my role as a community senator and assistant diversity officer to ensure that student voices feel heard and represented in the senate as an informed voter. As a candidate, I promise to advocate for students and increase accessibility on the Tufts campus. My intentions this year are to listen to students and make meaningful changes that improve our Tufts experience.
